Many know St. Petri. But what happens when we experience the church in a completely different way? What do we perceive when we approach it with a scientific, dance, or cinematic perspective?
In the choreographic laboratory of director Miriam Miron Flick, we explore the familiar Lübeck church space through movement, sight, and sound. We follow its perspectives, change viewpoints, and translate our perceptions into movement.
We work with silent disco headphones, transforming the church space into many spaces at once. What becomes visible when different sounds influence our perception? How can an invisible beat connect people across distances and create new shared movements?
To conclude, we go high up: From the church tower, the view of St. Petri expands over all of Lübeck from a bird's-eye perspective.
No prior experience is necessary.
The laboratory is part of the artistic research for the theater production Blickwechsel by the company Physical Stories, which will be presented in Lübeck at the end of January 2027.
